Image of Yakushi Rurikou Nyorai was moved to Yakushi-doh Hall of
Onsenji Temple. It was because the Meiji government ordered to separate
Buddhist temple from Shinto shrine. However, the image of Yakushi
Rurikou Nyorai was damaged by typhoon in 1972, and was put in the
Hondoh main hall of Onsenji Temple.
Onsenji Temple is located on the north of Yunodaira
marsh, and visitors can enjoy bathing there. You can reserve for
overnight stay if no rite is carried out.
The Hondoh main hall is 90 square meter, and enshrines
image of Yakushi Rurikou Nyorai in the inner room.
