Oomunachino-mikoto God is enshrined in the Onsen Shrine. It derives
from a story that Priest Shoto found Yumoto Hot Spa. Yakushi Rurikou
Nyorai that Priest Shoto enshrined, and Onsen Daimyojin that Saint
Jikaku worshipped in 848, were co-existed in the Onsen Shrine until
Meiji period.
The Onsen Shrine was moved to today's place in
1962, and vermilion lacquered new shrine was built additionally.
Former Douhokora (Copper Shrine) is designated as important cultural
property, and is stored in the Treasure House of Futarasan Chugushi
Shrine today.
