Short Stroll in Yumoto Hot Spa

All of the following three courses start from Nikko Yumoto Visitors' Center, which is located in the central Yumoto. It takes you less than 1 hour to finish.
1. Slope Course
*Course Information

You will storoll the slope, which becomes skiing area in the winter. You will see plants of Yotsubamidori, No-azami, Onishimotsuke.
*Time required

Nikko Yumoto Visitors' Center (There is a rest room), 3 minutes, (Walk for the lake side on the front road), Kohanbashi (Bridge of lakeside), 12 minutes (Camping area is seen on the left. Go out to Yumoto Lodge. Go for the slope then.) Yumoto Onsen Skiing Area, 15 minutes (Turn left at the post of climbers' cards. Go into the mountain path then.) Meiji Skiing Bridge, 15 minutes (Go south to come back passing through the Shiranesou Inn) Nikko Yumoto Visitors' Center



The slope will be full of flower garden except skiing season.

2. Onsenji Temple course
*Course Information

This course is to follow the roots of Yumoto Hot Spa that Priest Shoto found. Onsen Shrine and Onsenji Temple are derived from find of the hot spring.
*Time required

Nikko Yumoto Visitors' Center (There is a rest room.) ¨5 minutes, Bus stop of Kohanmae (Infront of the lakeside) 3 minutes, Onsen Shrine, 5 minutes, Yunodaira Marsh, source of the hot spring, 3 minutes, Onsenji Temple, 10 minutes (Go for Yamabiko Inn. Turn left at Yumoto Onsen Station then.) Nikko Yumoto Visitors' Center

3. Go round the Usagijima Peninsula
*Course Information

The Usagijima is only one peninsula in the Lake Yunoko. Usagi means rabbit in Japanese. Figure of the peninsula looks like an ear of the rabbit. There is a marsh on the joint of the peninsula.
*Time required

Nikko Yumoto Visitors' Center (There is a rest room.) 5 minutes, Bus stop of Kohanmae (In front of the lakeside) 10 minutes, Literary monument of Zenzou Kasai, 2 minutes, Usagijima Marsh (Walk on wooden path in the marsh) ) 20 minutes (Go round the Usagi Peninsula after the marsh. Please watch out your step.) Literary monument of Zenzou Kasai, 10 minutes (Come back on the same road) Kohanmae bus stop, 5 minutes, Nikko Yumoto Visitors' Center
