The Konsei-touge is located on the border of Gunma and Tochigi prefecture. It is a col of the Mt. Konsei (2244m) and the Mt. Yusengatake (2333m). Altitude of the Konsei-touge is 2024m, and it is the highest mountain pass in Nikko. There is a village of Katashina on the side of Gunma prefecture.

The Konsei-touge was cultivated as a training area for ascetics of Nikko. Konsei Shrine is built on the top of the Kousei-touge. Also, you can have a whole view of Oku-Nikko including Lake Yunoko and the Senjogahara Plateau from the Konsei Shrine.

Tunnel of Konsei was made in 1965 at the altitude of 1850m. It connects Yumoto Hot Spa and Sugenuma, Gunma prefecture. However, the tunnel will be closed in the winter.
