There is a stone carving of handstanding lion after the stone stairs
for the Yomeimon Gate. It seems like a moment of landing soon
after it jumped over the stone fence. It is not just for a decoration,
but is for support the fence.
Jumping Lion and the pillar
of the fence were carved from the single material. It is told that
granite was brought from Okayama prefecture, and the granite was
roughly carved on the way.
