*Kairou Corridor, Gokurouka Corridor

Pillars, floor, wall and attic are vermilion lacquered entirely.

The Kairou extends from the Youmeimon Gate to the left and the right. It is 220m long. The Kairou surrounds Honsha (Main building). Also, many sculptures decorate the Kairou. For example, clouds are on the transom, flower, bird, waterfowl and other animals are put on the wainscoting. These sculptures are related to the sky, ground and water. Every one of these is transparent carving.

The Gokurouka connects Higashi Kairou (East Corridor) and Ishinoma (Room of Stone). It is 20m long. This corridor is used when foods are dedicated to the God. Wave, cloud and phoenix are painted on the crossbar. These were painted with Indian ink.
