Short stroll in the central Nikko

You are suggested to walk around the central Nikko if you had extra 2 hours for the next train. The following three courses start from Tobu or JR Nikko Station.

1. 70 minutes course
*Course Information

Go to the Shinkyo Sacred Bridge passing through the back lane (North side) of the national route 119. You will come back passing through the Kannonji Temple and the national route.
*Time Required

Tobu Nikko Station, 6 minutes, Inari Shrine&Saigyo-modoshino-ishi (Memorial stone), 3 minutes, Kokuzouson Temple, 10 minutes, Shinkyo Bridge (There is a rest room.) 4 minutes, Kannonji Templ, 10 minutes (Go through the back yard of the City hall of Nikko, and come back to the national route from the side of NTT building.) Nikko Tourist Information Center (There is a rest room.) 15 minutes, ¨JR Nikko Station, 2 minutes, Tobu Nikko Station

2. 120 minutes course
*Course Information

You will walk on the back lane (North side) of JR Nikko Station. It goes along with the river of Daiya, and walk around the Kiborino-sato (Nikko Wood Craft Village Local Farm House), and come back then. You will walk along with Narusawa stream, where many wild birds will be seen. Also, you will walk on the prefectural road, where you can have a whole view of mountainous Nikko.

*Time required

Tobu Nikko Station, 3 minutes, Kirifuri Bridge, 10 minutes (Go through the gateball ground of Daiyagawa Park) Footbridge on the upstream (Turn left at the playground of elementary school), 12 minutes, Nikko Wood Craft Village Local Farm House (There is a rest room.) 5 minutes, Nikko Kiborino-sato Wooden Craft Center (There is a rest room.) 3 minutes, Lacquer Museum, Nikko (Charged), ¨3 minutes, Kakenashi-jizou, 12 minutes (Go through the tennis court and Ogurayama path), Narusawa Bridge&Kirifuri Bridge, 6 minutes, Footbridge on the downstream, 3 minutes (Pass through under the overhead railway of Tobu line) Overhead railway of JR, 2 minutes, JR Nikko Station, 2 minutes, Tobu Nikko Station




Hiking course from Narusawa Bridge to Ogurayama Forest Park

3. 60 minutes course
*Course Information

You will walk along with the opposite shore of river of Daiya, which flows in the back lane (North side) of Nikko Station.
*Time required

Tobu Nikko Station, 3 minutes, Kirifuri Bridge, 10 minutes, (Walk along with the riverside of the Daiya after crossing the bridge, Footbridge on the downstream, 15 minutes (Cross the footbridge on the Daiya river and next small bridge. Turn left then. Turn right at the hospital and go out to the national route 119.) , Sujimukai Bridge, 2 minutes, Ijinseki (Literally, stone of alien) Left side of Nikko Cedar Avenue, 8 minutes, JR Nikko Station, 2 minutes, Tobu Nikko Station
