The miniature of tea set has been made by those who make a woodwork material since early Meiji period. It has been becoming traditional wooden craft of Nikko. This is the by turnery miniature toy for appreciation of a set of tea-things, and it has been loved as a souvenir of Nikko.

A set consists of ten kinds of tea-things including tea bowl, tea table, teapot, teakettle, tea canister and dipper. These are put on the round tray. The set is 12-30cm small. Those tea-things are made of different wooden materials. For example, the teakettle has been made of chestnut tree and cherry tree, while the teapot has been made of Mizunara tree (Quercus cuspidata), and the round tray has been made of Tochinoki tree (Horse Chestnut).
