Short Stroll Courses in Senjogahara Plateau

Starting point of all courses is a parking lot of Sanbon-matsu. There is a bus stop there. It will take you 1 or 2 hours to finish each of the following three courses.

1. Kotoku Course
*Course Information

Going around the area of Kotoku, and coming back along with the river of Saksasa. Kotoku pasture and Kotokunuma marsh will entertain you.
*Time Required

Parking lot of Sanbon-matsu (There is a rest room.), 25 minutes, Parking lot of Kotoku (There is a rest room.), 5 minutes, Kotoku Pasture, 15 minutes, Kotokunuma Marsh, 20 minutes (Cross over the wooden bridge on the river of Sakasa), Sakasagawa Bridge, 15 minutes (Walk on the national route 120), Parking lot of Sanbon-matsu

2. Round-the-Senjogahara Plateau
*Course Information

This course is to go round the central marsh of Senjogahara Plateau. It overlaps with another hiking course partially. It takes you 2 hours to finish, but you want to walk slowly in order to observe the nature.

*Time Required

Parking lot of Sanbon-matsu (There is a rest room), 15 minutes (Walk on the national route 120), Sakasagawa Bridge, 30 minutes, Turn left at the Sakasagawa Bridge. A course of Natural Study of Senjogahara Plateau will be joined after you walk for 15 minutes. Go south along with the river of Yukawa. Pond of Izumiyado Ike, 25 minutes, Aoki Bridge, 40 minutes, Akanuma (There is a rest room), 10 minutes, Parking lot of Sanbon-matsu

3. Reclaimed Land Course
*Course Information

This course is to visit reclaimed land of Sanbon-matsu, and go for Shakunage Bridge, where is the entrance of Odashirogahara Plateau.

*Time Required

Parking lot of Sanbon-matsu (There is a rest room), 25 minutes, Reclaimed farm of Senjogahara Plateau, Monument of reclamation, 20 minutes, Akanuma (There is a rest room), 15 minutes (Go south on the national route 120), Shakunage Bridge, 20 minutes (Coming back from the hiking road), Akanuma, 15 minutes, Parking lot of Sanbon-matsu
