*Sanbon-matsu (Three Pine Trees)

The Sanbon-matsu literally means three pine trees, and it is the name of the place. Three pine trees were there until 30 years ago, but those are dead. It remains only name. The Sanbon-matsu is located in the middle of Lake Yunoko and Lake Chuzenji. Also, it is the center of traffic in Senjogahara Plateau. Although, there is a bus stop there, it is better to go by the car because there is a huge parking lot. You will be able to observe marsh and surrounding mountains from the observatory of Sanbon-matsu.
