A small shrine is located
along side of road to Bajo Park. The shrine stands in the forest,
and stone Torii gate is located in front of lacquered shrine. This
heritage tells us history of co-existence of Shinto and Buddhism.
According to a legend,
two balls came out from the pond of Hachiyourenge when Saint Kukai
was in training session. He took a smaller ball and enshrined it
in the Kodama-doh Shrine. That ball was treated as a Bosatsu. On
the contrary, bigger ball was enshrined in Myouken-doh shrine of
Chuzenji Temple.
