<Yumoto Onsen Hot Spa>

Lake Yunoko is located on the deepest place (north) of Oku-Nikko. Street of the Yumoto Hot spa is located on the north of the lake.

Priest Shoto found hot spa in Yumoto about 1200 years ago and history of Yumoto hot spa began. Onsen hot spa shrine and Onsen hot spa temple were built at that time. Those buildings remain old time. In addition to that, skiing area and camping site have been opened there today.

On the contrary, Yumoto is the best place to savor the natural environment. For example, there is 3km long hiking course around the Lake Yunoko. It takes you an hour to go round. Also, Lake Yunoko is a popular fishing area. Moreover, Yumoto hot spa is a starting point of climbing up Mt. Maeshirane and Mt. Konsei.
