The Watariden room is located in between Honden main hall and
Haiden oratory. This room is the same as Ainoma of Taiyuiin Mousoleum,
Ishinoma of Toshogu Shrine. Also, Watariden is the nearest building
to the God, and ceremony is carried out there. This room is open
to the public for the purpose of wedding, Hatsumiya-mairi and
Shichigosan. The Hatsumiya-mairi is the first worship with baby
for God's protection. Also, Shichigosan is a celebration for children
of 3, 5 and 7 years of age. The Watariden will be removed in Yayoisai
festival of April because portable shrines from each district
will be brought out to the room in order to offer musical performance
in front of the God. |
