*Festival of Daikoku -God of Wealth and Matchmaking-

The main god of Futarasan Shrine is Oomunachino-mikoto, but he had two other nicknames such as Okuninushino-mikoto and Daikoku. This god has been familiar with people as a god of wealth and matchmaking.

Monthly festival is carried out in Futarasan Shrine on the second Saturday except December. The biggest festival is Daikoku Festival in June. There will be many stalls and a flea market for two days.

The Daikoku is one of the Seven Lucky Gods, but it originally came from India through China. It came to be identified with Okuninushino-mikoto as a result of harmonization of Shinto and Buddhism.
