Basics for Outdoor Life

Oku-Nikko is a precious area for outdoor activities because of its natural environment. You will see many plants and wild animals there. However, visitors may break ecosystem. Here is the manner to be friendly with nature.

Never pick animals and plants up. Never step into marshland and grassy plain. Never step into the river, where fishes come back. Building a fire is not allowed either. Take your trash back to home. You should avoid making noise. Don't forget that is the place for living animals.

Some visitors give food to wild monkeys, but it is not good for monkey and human. Monkey becomes weaker because it loses ability to gain food by itself. In addition, monkey comes to attack human, and agricultural products will be damaged also. Also, those monkeys cause traffic jam on the Irohazaka winding road.
